Known for a combative and high-energy approach, The Celtic are a difficult-to-beat outfit built around a strong defensive core and quick homegrown forwards who exploit transitions.
The “Celtic” Pathway
Junior Foundation
A specialist in player retention, the club operates a thriving girls’ section that serves as a direct pipeline for graduating U16 players stepping into senior football, such as Jess Bucas and Lola Sample.
Coaching Philosophy
Led by long-serving UEFA B manager David Dodds, the focus remains on developing young talent within a positive, supportive environment that avoids high-pressure regional burnout.
Scholarship Success
The club has supported players in earning football scholarships in the USA—including Chloe Flannaghan and Abbie Hulme—who regularly return to rejoin the squad during breaks.
Culture & Ethos
“Allotment for All”
The ladies’ team is a central part of the club’s partnership with True 22, embodying the core values of community, respect, kindness, and teamwork.
Off-Pitch Unity
Unlike sides with high turnover, Celtic Ladies pride themselves on close squad chemistry—highlighted by winning the Blackpool 7-a-side winners’ plate on multiple occasions.
Community Backing
Well-integrated into the local business community, with home and away kits backed by long-term partners First Class Supply and Permatt Fork Lift Trucks.
