Last night saw the ladies take part in our season opener against Heaton Hawks.
The first half saw us have a number of chances on goal which we struggled to take. Until the latter stages of the half, where Bella converted two of the chances. Giving us a 2-0 lead to take into the second half.
After half time, Heaton came out with a point to prove, dominating the early stages of the second half. In this time, they managed to reduce our lead to 2-1. Quite soon after Heaton’s goal, right winger Amber wins us a penalty which was calmly converted by Bella to give us a 2 goal lead back. Heaton managed to add another very late into the game but the ladies held out for a 3-2 win.
Great start to the new season after promotion with but with things still to work on as a team.
