The draw for the opening rounds of The Women’s FA Cup was made this morning and we are delighted to announce we have been drawn AT HOME to either Guisborough Town Football Club Women or West Allotment Celtic Ladies Football Club, having received a bye into the First Qualifying Round.
The game will be played at Croft Park on Sunday the 6th of September, 2pm KO with more details to be announced nearer the time. It marks the first time the club has been represented in the competition since 2008, when Spartans reached the 3rd Qualifying Round and played and bowed out at Croft Park in a wild 6-10 defeat against Darlington Railway!
We must wait to discover who we will be playing, but both potential opponents will provide a strong challenge, having finished towards the top end of their respective county leagues. Your support on the day will be crucial, so be sure to save the date in your diary!
